The Warriors put up a valient effor tonight at the Civic Center, keeping the game extremely close until the final minutes. A scoreless first led to just one Red Deer goal in the second. The Warriors allowed two more in the final mintues to make the score 3-0.
One of the highlight of the game for the Warriors was Matt Grant's first WHL fight against Lucus Grayson. The Warriors shot 25 pucks Darcy Kuemper's way but not would get by. Thomas Heemskerk went 26/28 on the night. The Warriors were 0/4 on the power play at 3/3 on the PK.
Warriors return to action Monday at 2:00 pm when they face the Tri City Americans at the Civic Center.
