Thanksgiving with Tri City

The Tri City American's will visit Moose Jaw today for their first meeting of the season. Tri City sits with a 6-2-1 record.

Tri City's star players Brendan Shinnimin (suspended) and Adam Hughesman have 13 points a piece in just 6 games. The American's have capitalized on 13 power play's so far this season.  Tri City has split their Prairie tour-- falling to both Prince Albert and Saskatoon earlier in the week. They did steal a 3-1 victory in Brandon on Saturday and a 6-4 win in Regina.. 

Don't forget, game time is 2:00 pm for the only afternoon matinee game of the season.

Who to watch for:
Tri City
  • More like who you WILL NOT be watching, Brendan Shinnimin (#24) has 1 of his 13 goals on the power play and 5 assists on the power play and is suspended after the Saskatoon game.
  • Adam Hughesman, left winger, #17 for Tri is an offensive threat with his 4 power play goals and 4 power play assists.  He's credited with 2 game winning goals in only 9 games. 
  • Twenty year (#23) old D-man Tyler Schmidt leads the defense with 6 points. 
Moose Jaw
  • Spencer Edwards, captains and scoring leader, Edwards has 6 points in 8 games for the tribe
  • Nathan MacMaster, this18 year old Calgary native is having a great opening to the season.  Scoring opportunties and 5 points are credited to this young forward.
  • Connor Cox, leads the D with 2 goals and has found himself in the right place at the right time of late.
Between the pipes
Likely starting for Tri will be Drew Owsley, this 19 year old goal tender has 4 wins under his belt along with 358 minutes and a .919 save %. Owskey has 186 saves.
Thomas Heemskerk has been showing Moose Jaw fan's just why he is a San Jose Sharks draftee.  Thomas has played 473 minutes for the tribe, winning 2 games and keeping a .898 save percentage.  He has made 230 saves on the season.
