Weekend Review

Another prospects camp is in the books.  After four days packed with hockey and activities, the players and their families made their way home yesterday after one on one meetings.

The Thursday night reception got everything underway.  Friday, along with fit tests and a tour of the new facility, an open floor discussion was held.  With individuals from all aspects of the organization, like our Education Advisor, Billet Coordinator, former players and hockey ops answered questions from both parents and players.  Great discussions around the school in Moose Jaw, how billeting works and other good points were brought up.

The on ice sessions were fun to watch by all accounts.  A ton of talent was on display and Warrior fans should be very excited with the next up and coming players in the Warrior system.  The 2011 draft class are very talented-- and seeing the growth of last year's picks was great.

Saturday night the Warriors had a nice BBQ with all the prospects and their families at Buffalo Pound.  A little bit chilly, but a nice evening.

Once again, my favorite part of the weekend is getting to meet player families and watching the young men work extremely hard and show off their very best.

A few current Warriors made it down for the weeknd, Kendall McFaull and Quinton Howden helped with the on ice sessions. Dallas Ehrhardt was in town and Andrew Johnson helped out with the off ice portions.  Andrew mentioned that driving back to Moose Jaw felt like the was driving "home"-- not the other way around.  They are all working hard and are very excited for the upcoming hockey season and new building.

It was a fantastic weekend....  If you made it out to Caronport, what did you think of the Warrior prospects?
