Tuesday Thoughts

Former Warrior Dustin Boyd was a hero last night in Hamilton.  Dustin Boyd's dramatic series-winning goal ended the longest Game 7 in American Hockey League history, and the Hamilton Bulldogs sent the Manitoba Moose packing from the Calder Cup playoffs for the second straight year.

Boyd put his own dump-in past Manitoba goaltender Eddie Lack six seconds into the third overtime as the Bulldogs won Game 7 of the North Division final 2-1 over the Moose on Monday.

Houston and Milwaukee play game 7 tonight to determine the Bulldogs next match up.

The Vancouver Canucks beat the Predators last night in game 6.  The Canucks will now await either the Sharks or Red Wings.  The Green Men, the fans dressed in head to toe in spandex have been an added entertainment to the game.  Some people are suggesting the "green" men are a marketing ploy by the Canucks or a marketing company.  What do you think... fans or marketing scheme? Hmm...this writer thinks all teams should adopt a similar idea... http://www.partnershipactivation.com/headlines/2009/12/31/use-the-penalty-box-to-promote-green-initiatives.html

The Sharks and Wings will battle in game 6 tonight. The Sharks lead the series.... and one former teammate of Shark Patrick Marleau, Jeremy Roenick tossed out some fighting words on air... calling Marleau "gutless" among other things after his game 5 performance.  Will this affect his performance tonight?

The City of Glendale will host a vote tonight that could decide the future of hockey in the desert and the future of hockey in Winnipeg.  Be sure Atlanta will be keeping an eye on the vote.  Here is the story.... http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=365255

Have you seen the latest NHL Promo featuring the Sedin's? Good? Bad?
