Warriors Look to Continue Solid Road Trip in Kelowna Tonight

The Warriors will face off against the 21-17-0-0 Kelowna Rockets of the Western Conference tonight as they finish the last leg of the BC Road trip. The Warriors are 3-0 against the Rockets in the last 5 years. Both teams are coming off games against the Kamloops Blazers. The tribe took Kamloops 4-2; Kelowna fell 5-1 on January 2nd.

Story tonight will be who will return to the line up. Antonin Honejsek, Quinton Howden, Morgan Rielly and Brayden Cuthbert will all return to the tribe today. It is unknown on who will or will not play in tonight’s game.

As for the Rockets, they will get back two important players in Tyson Barrie and Mitchell Callahan (Team USA). Head Coach Ryan Huska (an assistant for Team Canada) will also be back in Kelowna. It is unknown if Barrie or Mitchell will play as they do not arrive in Kelowna until very close to game time.


Collin Bowman will face off against his former team for the first time since joining the tribe at the start of the season.

Joey Kornelsen- In seven games Joey has 9 points. He has points in five consecutive road games. He will be sporting #12.

Thomas Heemskerk- Moving up the ranks in the WHL as one of top goal tenders, the man between the iron is always a key to success.

Spencer Edwards- The captain has been good for nine points on the road trip and a crucial goal in the last game.

Adam Brown- Playing in 33 games this season, Brown has 17 wins. Brown is just 5’10” but posts a 0.915 SV%.

Zach Franko- One of the rockets top scorers and just a rookie at that, Franko is the 6th ranked rookie in the league.

Kevin Smith- Formerly of the Moose Jaw Warriors, Kevin will be wearing #3 and has 16 points in 38 games.
