Warriors End 2010 With A Bang!

Forget Mad Max, the real "Road Warriors" are from Moose Jaw. The Warriors won their third straight on the road to end off 2010, beating Chilliwack 4-2. Dylan Hood led the way with a pair of points including an empty net goal for his 20th marker of the season. Joey Kornelsen, Jesse Paradis, and Mackenzie Royer also scored for the Warriors. Thomas Heemskerk made 19 saves for the victory. Heemskerk is now third in the WHL for victories by a goalie with 20. All this without forwards Quinton Howden and Tony Honejsek who are at World Juniors, while forward Brayden Cuthbert and defenceman Morgan Reilly are at the World Under 17 Challenge in Winnipeg. The Warriors are now two points behind Medicine Hat for fourth in the Eastern conference.

Next up.... Moose Jaw will be in Prince George sunday afternoon to corral the Cougars. Puck drop is 12:00pm Saskatchewan time. You can listen to the game along with the voice of the Warriors, James Gallo on Country 100.
