Tigers Take it in SO


The Warriors tangled with the Tigers last night in the Medicine Hat Arena. Only 8:00 minutes into the game, Warriors Cody Beach and Kale Kessy went at it. A minute later on a power play, the Tigers tipped one past Thomas Heemskerk from Thomas Carr. Tony Honejsek scored the first of the evening for the tribe, making the score 1-1 to end the first.

No goals in the second period to report. Dylan Bredo started off the third period with a goal at 2:48. Only two minutes later, Tony Honejsek danced his way around the defence and past Tyler Bunz. Quinton Howden would give the Warriors the go ahead goal at 11:22. With three to go, the Tigers put one past Heemskerk to tie the game at 3 a piece.

Over time would result in no goals, sending the game into a shoot out. Linden Vey was up first… and the leagues top scorer made no mistake. Up next, Honejsek for the tribe, he would not score. Rookie Hunter Shinkaruk took the next run at Heemskerk and would be denied. Cody Beach would also be turned away by Tyler Bunz. Wacey Hamilton banked the game winner and stole the extra point from the tribe.
