FORMER TEAM MATES SET TO BATTLE SUNDAY

Newly aquired Cody Beach
The Moose Jaw Warriors will take on the Calgary Hitmen Sunday night at the Civic Center. Village Ford is the game night sponsor of the clash between former team mates. Calgary has been struggling of late, posting a 4-15-1-0 record. Tuesday night the Warriors and Hitmen swung a deal that sent forwards Nathan MacMaster and Danny Gayle to their home town in exchange for forwards Cody Beach and Mackenzie Royer.

Earlier on in the season, the Warriors sent 19 year old Riley Reinbolt to the Hitmen, also a Calgary native. Another factor in Sunday's game is former Warriors goal tender Brandon Glover. Glover chose to leave the team in September and was added into the trade deal on Thursday. Many expect Glover to be the starting goal tender come Sunday night.

Warriors Assistant Captain Quinton Howden will join the team in Brandon tonight after a 2 point showing at the Subway Super Series in Kamloops/Prince George. Howden played along side two current Hitmen stars in 19 year old Jimmy Bubnick and Matt Mackenzie.

Dylan McIlrath returned to Moose Jaw after a short trip to New York on Wednesday for an MRI. McIlrath's return to the line up is still pending. Sixteen year old defensemen Travis Brown will be joining the Warriors line up for the weekend. Cody Beach and Mackenzie Royer joined the team for practice yesterday and are expected to be in the line up this weekend as well.

A little reminder off the ice this Sunday.... it is time to turn in the Operations Christmas Child boxes that have been available at Warriors home games. You have a great chance of winning a signed 3rd jersey if you bring in your present.
