Warriors Meet Up with Spokane Friday

The Warriors will play host to the Spokane Chiefs on Friday night as their second American visitors come to town. The Chiefs are 5-6 on the season and sit in 3rd place in the US Division.  The Western Conference visitors bring with them defensemen Jared Cowan.  Cowan was the 9th overall pick of the Senators in the 2009 NHL Draft.  Playing for Team Canada at World Juniors last season, Cowan is one of Spokane's elite players.

Interesting Facts:
  • Spokane is coming off a 7-3 win in Prince George where 7 different players scored the 7 goals
  • When leading after the first, Spokane is 5-1
  • Spokane 's leading rookie is defencemen Reid Gow who has 5 points; Rookie Jordan Wyton leads the way for the tribe with 6 points
Who to Watch For:
Moose Jaw
Antonin Honejsek- Having a fantastic game in Prince Albert, Honejsek scored the only goal of the shoot out to claim a win for the Warriors. Tony has been playing very well and had two assists in PA to top off the night.
Dylan McIlrath- Scored his second goal of the season Wednesday and added an assist on the night.  The big man has been chipping in offensively in the last couple games.
Nathan MacMaster- Has been standing out on the ice with his work ethic and scoring touch in the last few match ups.

Spokane
Blake Gal- 18 year old RW for the Chiefs has 8 points... all of them being goals
Tyler Johnson- Leads the team with 14 points, Johnson is one of the 20 year olds on the team
James Reid- 20 year old goal tender who has played in all but one game for Spokane
