Friday Night in Saskatoon

Friday night marks the first meeting in the regular season between these two division rivals. Saskatoon is leading the Eastern Conference with a 5-1 record. Last season the Warriors were 0-4-2 against Saskatoon.

The Warriors are coming off of a strong home stand Wednesday night where they banked their first power play goal and threw 30 shots on net against the Broncos. Saskatoon has win's against division contenders, Prince Albert, Regina and Brandon.

Who to watch for:
6'3" center Marek Viendensky also has 10 points to kick off the season.  Twenty year old Tiegan Zahn missed some of last season to injury, but his 6'3" frame is always a presense on the blue line.

Moose Jaw- 18 year old Nathan MacMaster is coming off what could be his best game with the tribe, scoring a goal and two assists.  Captain Spencer Edwards has 4 points for the tribe and looked confident in Wednesday's matchup.  Dylan McIlrath has not tossed off the gloves in the last two games, yet Saskatoon's big men are known for their fighting... Zahn, Dziurzynski and Gogol are likely participants. The Warriors D-men have only one goal from Connor Cox and the rest are pointless heading into tonight.

Listen to the game live on Country 100 FM with the pre-game show starting at 6:45.
