Canada Opens World Jr Camp
Quinton Howden and team Red fell 3-2 to team White in the first intrasquad game at Canada's World Junior Selection Camp in Calgary Sunday night.
Brandon Wheat King Michael Ferland scored a third period goal for team White, while Kelowna's Brett Bulmer and Prince Albert's Mark McNeill had an assist each in the win.
Coaches are giving players this morning off to rest up for another intrasquad game. The first round of cuts are expected after the game.
Tuesday the guys will take on a group of area CIS All Stars, the final roster announcement is expected Wednesday morning.
Canada plays their first pre-competition game on the 19th, they open the 2012 World Junior Hockey Championships Boxing Day against Finland.
Country 100 is the home of the World Juniors in southern Saskatchewan, catch all of Canada's game's throughout the tournament as they look to capture gold and snap their streak of two silver medals.
