Tuesday WHL Trades

Several players found new homes yesterday as there was two trades in the WHL, both involving East Division teams.

In an attempt to strengthen their goaltending situation, the Swift Current Broncos picked up overage Jon Groenheyde from Edmonton in exchange for overage forward Jordan Peddle.

Groenheyde has a career 3.66gaa and .890sv%, while Peddle has tallied 24 goals and 64 points in 198 games.

In Saskatoon, the Blades shipped overage goalie Adam Morrison and right winger Levi Bews to Vancouver. Coming to the Bridge City is Michael Burns, Zach Hodder, and a 4th round pick in the 2013 draft.
