Thursday Thoughts

What a first game of the Stanley Cup Final.  One of those games that kept you shaking your head and wondering how the tenders are pulling off some incredible saves.  Big hits, fast paced... it was definetly a nail bitter... right down until the last 30 seconds when Raffi Torres received a great pass from Kesler and Hanson and beat Tim Thomas.  Game two goes Saturday.

Warrior prospects are enroute to the Jaw today. The players will be here by 6:00 for registration and on to supper and a draft reception.  Stay tuned for photos through out the weekend.... The weekend is all about giving the young men a taste of what Moose Jaw has to offer.  They will be getting a full weekend of activity, training, knowledge and experience.

Joel Edmundson is still in Toronto for the NHL Combine today.  TSN gives fans an inside look at the 2011 NHL Draft Combine during its one-hour special, the NHL SCOUTING COMBINE, this Friday, June 3 at 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt. The original TSN production puts fans shoulder-to-shoulder with NHL executives as they watch 100 of the best draft-eligible players from North America and Europe go through intense physical, medical and psychological testing in final preparation for the 2011 NHL ENTRY DRAFT.  Don't miss it!

The Calder Cup finals continue on... Joe DiSalvatore scored an early goal and assisted on Nate Prosser's second-period game-winner as the Houston Aeros edged the Binghamton Senators 2-1 on Wednesday night in Game 3 of the Calder Cup Finals.

The Aeros, Minnesota's top farm team, won on the road to take a 2-1 lead in the series, which resumes Friday night in Binghamton.

Remember, Friday night the Warriors are the game night sponsor for the Moose Jaw Miller Express Game.  Come out and cheer on the Millers as they take on the Okatoks Dawgs.

Have a great day!
