Wedneday Wrap

The holiday Monday is making the week fly right by!

Did anyone watch Kootenay vs St John's last night?  Pretty good game.  Nice to see the Ice get their first win of the tournament. And it's a win not without controversy as the replay showed the puck came outside the blue-line befor Max Reinhart knocked it back into the Sea Dogs zone to Matt Fraser, who scored the winning goal.

The Attack and Majors will battle it out tonight in Mississauga.

Vancouver got their ticket to the Stanley Cup Finals last night with a double OT win over the Sharks.  The Bruins can win their series tonight with a 3-2 series lead.

Sounds like there will be a team in Chilliwack next season---

The Chilliwack Chiefs are back. The British Columbia Hockey League board of governors has unanimously approved the sale of the Quesnel Millionaires and the franchise's relocation of the team to Chilliwack.

The new ownership group includes Moray Keith, Jim Bond and, crucially, Harvey Smyl, who will serve as the team's coach and general manager. The franchise will assume the name the Chiefs and play in the BCHL's Interior Conference next year. Alignment will follow the next season, according to the league.
