WARRIORS TRADE FOR 16TH PICK AND TAKE WARKENTINE

Moose Jaw, SK.--- The Moose Jaw Warriors received the 16th overall selection and a 4th round pick from the Regina Pats for two 2nd round picks (36th and 44th) and a 5th round pick.

With the 16th overall pick, the Warriors selected Miles Warkentine from Melfort, SK.  Miles played for the Prince Albert Pirates in 2010/11.  Warriors Assistant Director of Hockey Operations and Director of Scouting/Player Development feels Miles will bring character to the Warriors organization.  “Miles has good size and grit—he can run players through the boards,” said MacLachlan of the six foot left winger after the selection was made.
