Warriors in Saskatoon Tonight


The Moose Jaw Warriors will be in Saskatoon tonight to take on the Blades. The high flying Blades are on a 8 game winning streak and are 41-10-0-2. The Moose Jaw Warriors have handed the Blades two of their ten losses this season. The Blades are 9-1 in their last 10 games.


Here is a recap:

October 8th @ Saskatoon- 6-4 SK final.
October 19th @ Moose Jaw- 5-1 MJ final.
December 14th @ Moose Jaw- 4-1 MJ final.

The Warriors are heading into tonight on a 3 game losing skid, falling to the Pats in OT followed by losses in Red Deer and Medicine Hat.


Tonight is the first time the Warriors will see Brayden Schenn in a Blades uniform. Curtis Hamilton, a team mate of Schenn and Quinton Howden from World Juniors has a solid 57 points for Saskatoon.

Notes:
- The Blades have only lost 1 game after leading in the first. The Warriors have lost just 2.
- The Blades are a near perfect 33-0-0-1 if they are leading after the second
- Spencer Edwards could be back in the line up... Dylan McIlrath is a ?
- Brayden Cuthbert is still out with a concussion


Who to watch for:

SASK
Marek Viedensky- From Slovakia, Marek has 62 points. The 6'3" Center was a San Jose Draft pickk in 2009.

Josh Nicholls- 18 year old Josh Nicholls has a team high 65 points. Josh is a Right Winger and a Maple Leafs Draft pick in the 7th round of the 2010 NHL Draft.

Stefan Elliot-The top scoring D man in the league, Elliot has 22 goals and 38 assists for 60 points.


MJ
Brett Lyon- Bringing a physical presence to the tribe, Brett was the only Warrior to score on Darcy Kuemper on the weekened. Lyon's grit will be a great asset vs. the Blades

Quinton Howden- The Warriors have had a tough time scoring in the last two games. Quinton Howden's offensive ability will be needed tonight for a Warrior win.

Collin Bowman- With Dylan McIlrath possibly out of the line up for tonight, veteran Defensemen Collin Bowman will be a key point on the back end.
