Friday night began with the naming of the January Zeke's Player of the Month, the honor went to Collin Bowman.
First period action seen the Warriors on the board first, with a short handed goal only minutes in from Sebastian Svendsen.
Oil Kings would not wait long to find an equalizer; coming from Captain Mark Pysyk. The Oil Kings would not stop there. Three minutes later, Jordan Hickmott found an open corner and the second Oil Kings goal of the night. The Warriors own Captain, Spencer Edwards would make it a tie game to end the second period 2-2.
Second period, Rhett Rachinski gave the Oil Kings the lead. Warriors fought back with a goal from Joel Edmundson, his first of the season. Quinton Howden made it 4-3 to end the second. Third period seen just a single goal, from an Oil Kings stick. Colton Stephenson scored on Thomas Heemskerk to lock things up at 4 a piece.
Overtime would produce no scoring or penalties for either squad. To a shoot out we would go. Sebastian Svendsen scored the one and only goal and the game winner. Warriors take it 5-4 in a thrilling shoot out victory.
