WARRIORS GET FIRST WIN AT HOME OF 2011

It may have been a very tight game for the tribe, but the Warriors managed their first home win of 2011 in a 3-2 game. The Warriors scored a goal per period with the first coming from rookie AJ Johnson. Edmonton managed a goal in the last minutes of the first from Kristians Pelss.

Second period brought on a Dylan McIlrath power play goal. Edmonton followed up with another goal from Pelss. The final goal and the game winner came from Sebastian Svendsen with his first goal as a Moose Jaw Warrior. Tony Honejsek had a pair of assists in the win.

Edmonton's Laurent Brossoit saved 28/31 shots. Thomas Heemskerk made 18 saves in the win. The Warriors went 2/6 on the power play and limited the vistors to just five shots in both the second and third period.

The Warriors return to action Wednesday to host the Lethbridge Hurricanes on rain check night.
