DYNAMITE FIRST PERIOD GIVE WARRIORS THE 6-4 WIN OVER THE ICE

A strong first period launched the Moose Jaw Warriors over the visiting Kootenay Ice tonight at the Crushed Can. Four Warriors goals from Howden (a pair), Edwards and Bowman gave the Warriors a 4-1 advantage in the first twenty.

Second period was ridden with penalties, 11 to be exact. Tony Honejsek would score another for the tribe and Elgin Pearce would make it a 5-2 game to end the second. Final period, more penalties and a good push from Kootenay. The Ice kept the Warriors to only 3 shots in the third and managed another two goals. Warriors own twenty year old forward Dylan Hood would score goal number six. Final score 6-4 Moose Jaw.

Dylan Hood had 4 points in tonight’s game. Thomas Heemskerk faced 35 shots and the tribe took 17 of their 28 shots in the first period. Warriors take another home win and will have a weekend break before facing Saskatoon on Tuesday at home.
Molson Three Stars of the First half of season:
1. Howden
2. Heemskerk
3. Hood
Just a little story for you.... tonight Dylan Hood happened to be bounding around the hallway, grinning ear to ear prior to warm up. Asked him why he was so happy, his reply... "I think tonight's going to be a good one.... I'm feeling it," Sure enough... he was. Four points and some great chemistry from Hood's line, I'd say he was feeling it alright.
Tonights Three Stars:
1. Hood
2. Howden
