The Warriors faced off with the Calgary Hitmen in their first meeting at the Crushed Can this regular season. Hitmen got on the board first a goal from Jimmy Bubnick. At 6:57, Dylan Hood put one away on the power play to tie the game at one a piece. Spencer Edwards made it a 2-1 game. With one final goal from the Hitmen before the end of the first from Justin Kirsch the score would be 2-2.
No goals would be scored in the second period. The Hitmen would make things interesting in the third period. Spencer Edwards notched his second of the night followed by another from Dylan Hood. With 4-2 on the score board, Kris Foucault made it just a one goal game. Pressing hard the Hitmen would try finding the evener, but would not be able to make it before two straight Warriors goals. A marker from former Hitman, Mackenzie Royer and Sam Fioretti found the empty net to make the final score 6-3.
The Warriors move into 2nd place in the division with 27 points, just 6 points back of the Blades. Warrior’s next action is Wednesday in Prince Albert.
