The Warriors and Wheaties met up at the Civic Center for the second home game of the season. Brandon put 43 shots on net in their 5-2 win; with just 23 coming from the home team. Wheat Kings goals were scored by Bestland (2), Stone, Wiebe and Fransoo.
Warriors two goals came from Connor Cox and Quinton Howden. Howden had 2 points in the loss. The Warriors went 0/2 on the powerplay and 2/7 on the penatly kill. The game was not without its fair share of punches. MacMaster, Wyton and Bowman all threw down the mitts.
Along with the "fight" theme, the Warriors hosted "Fight Night- Tie One On for Men's Cancer" at the game. Fans were able to bid on special blue ties worn by the players to tonights game along with a framed, autographed photo of each player in their tie. Fans can visit the community section to continue bidding.
Hardest working Warriors honors went to Thomas Heemskerk who faced 43 shots on the night. The Warriors will take to the road heading west into Alberta this weekend to face the Hitmen and Oil Kings.
