NHL GOALTENDING EXPERIENCE ADDED TO ROSTER

Moose Jaw, SK.--- The Warriors have obtained goaltender and San Jose Sharks prospect Thomas Heemskerk from the Everett Silvertips for 20 year old Warriors defensemen Chad Suer.

Heemskerk is a 20 year old, athletic goaltender who hails from Chilliwack, BC. Heemskerk spent the first two years of his WHL career with the Kootenay Ice and the last two with the Everett Silvertips.
In 2009, Heemskerk signed an entry level contract with the Sharks and is currently attending rookie camp. Heemskerk posted a 2.3355 goals against average last season and a .927 save percentage. Heemskerk claimed 24 wins for Everett last season in 42 games. “We are excited as an organization to add a goalie of Heemskerk’s caliber to our roster,” said Director of Hockey Operations Alan Millar. “Heemskerk is considered one of the WHL’s top goaltenders and we look forward to his addition to the core of our team,” added Millar.
Twenty year old defensemen Chad Suer has been with the tribe since being drafted by the team as a Bantam player in 2005. Suer has been a steady blue liner during his four year career in the friendly city. “Chad Suer grew up as a Warrior and was a great player for the team and community,” commented Alan Millar. “The Warriors wish Chad all the best in Everett and in all his future endeavors in the game,” said Alan.

Heemskerk will be in Moose Jaw Sunday and available to media Monday after practice (4:30 pm).
