Sunday WHL Trades

New faces found new places to play, as there was a number of Sunday trades in the WHL.

The Brandon Wheat Kings were busy, acquiring overage forward Darian Dziurzynski from Saskatoon and 19 year old goalie Brandon Anderson from Lethbridge.

The Wheat Kings sent a 2nd round pick in the 2012, a 2nd round pick in 2013, and a 3rd round pick in 2014 to Saskatoon in the Dziurzynski trade.

To acquire Anderson, they sent 18 year old goalie Liam Liston and 18 year old defenceman Spencer Galbraith to the Hurricanes. The Wheat Kings also picked up TBD draft picks from Lethbridge.

Lethbridge wasn't done, they traded 19 year old defenceman Derek Ryckman to Tri City for a 4th round pick in 2012. They also picked up 19 year old forward Nick Buonassis from Prince George for 18 year old blueliner Reid Jackson and a 5th round pick in 2012.
