Hockey Noise

The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club announced Assistant General Manager and Head Scout Brad Whelen has accepted a position with the National Hockey League’s Tampa Bay Lightning.
The NHL is officially coming back to Winnipeg!

In a unanimous decision, delivered at a downtown New York hotel, the vote makes the move official It is the the first move from the U.S. to Canada since the Atlanta Flames in 1980.  Canada now has 7 NHL teams and the Peg will be the smallest in the league with 15,000 seats.

The Hockey News is reporting the Oilers may trade the rights to their first pick with Florida.... if they can get D-man Adam Larsson.  Florida seems to have its eyes set on Ryan Nugent-Hopkins
