Warriors Drop Home Opener

The Warriors dropped their season opener 4-1 tonight at the Civic Center. Neither team would manage scored a goal in the first period. Swift Current would come out of the gates firing in the second with two goals from Stepan Novotny and Taylor Vause. Antonin Honejsek would be the only Warrior to score with a top shelf marker over Friesen. Brad Hoban would find the back of the net on the power play to end the second.


The third period was quiet offensively with only a single goal coming in the dieing minutes on an empty netter for Brad Hoban. The story of the night was pentalites. Twenty three in total were handed out with 11 going to the Warriors. Captain Spencer Edwards dropped the gloves in the first followed by a couple other minor scuffles on the night.

The Warriors head to Bronco land tomorrow night for their home opener. The Warriors will look to rebound on tonight's 4-1 loss.
