Captain Edwards at the Helm

Moose Jaw, SK.--- The Warriors have named 20 year old forward Spencer Edward as the 2010/11 team captain. Edwards is entering his second year with the tribe after an outstanding 2009/10 season. Spencer is known for his heart, character and leadership around the dressing room and on the ice. “Spencer’s determination and leadership have earned him the right to lead this team,” said Head Coach Dave Hunchak.


Alternate captain’s for the season include 19 year old defensemen Collin Bowman; forward Quinton Howden and 18 year old defensemen Kendall McFaull and Dylan McIlrath. Each alternate captain brings a degree of leadership to the team and as whole will guide the 2010/11 Warriors squad with both passion and vision. “Edward’s supporting cast of alternate captains’ certainly will make for a strong group of players leading the way for the Warriors,” added Hunchak.

Captain Edwards and the Warriors take on the Swift Current Broncos in the season opener Friday September 24th at 7:00 pm. Puck drops at 7:00 pm with a special video presentation at 6:50pm.
